poster for pecha kucha night 4

I was shitting myself for about 2 weeks before this and I can’t remember the 6 and a half minutes I was on the stage, but the adrenalin took over and I think I mentioned everything I wanted to. I do remember the other speakers, and Steve Simpson was the highlight for me. I spoke about some of my favouritist tees and the tees that have influenced me. I will post up the whole presentation later, but in the mean time here’s some of the slides.

Literally a walking encyclopedia of Reggae and Dancehall music and its history and effect on the music industry, David’s passion for the music cannot be challenged. With his highly energetic sets on Kiss fm and Sound clashes around the world, the hairs on the back of your neck will literally stand on end as he recounts his favourite sounds and stories.
David will be dj-ing in the Sugar Club later on in the evening.

Originally from Dublin but now residing in Berlin, David O’ Reilly’s challenging work with both film and digital film is difficult to categorize but inspiring nonetheless. Abstract, nostalgic and yet modern, he recently won a Golden Bear for his piece “Please Say Something”.
